Membership Services Committee

Membership Services Objectives

The Vice President of the club heads up Membership Services Committee and one role is the welfare of club members as well as arranging much of the club calendar with social events, outings etc. The committee also includes a Speaker Secretary who arranges interesting speakers. Membership Services Committee is an important cog in the Rotary Wheel helping the club run smoothly for the year’s President.

Many view Rotary as a male dominated charitable organisation and whilst that may well have been the case in the past, the importance and value of diversification evolved in recent years has seen many women welcomed into Rotary. Indeed next year’s Rotary International President is female. It is a particular goal for our club to welcome more lady residents of the town to come along as guests to see first hand what we do and how they can put their skills into action for the benefit of the town.

So please men and women of South Woodham Ferrers grasp this opportunity to keep this club alive and thriving for another 40 years.

We meet at the Rettendon Lodge, Burnham Road, Battlesbridge, SS11 7QT on two Tuesday evenings each month for a speaker or Business meeting, at 7.30pm. And we meet for a social evening on a Tuesday, once per month, at the Village Hall, 25 Hullbridge Road, SWF CM3 5PL.
